Just Love: Tyler’s Last Post

I timed this perfectly.

In late June, Cockyboys released the first episode of a film series titled Just Love, featuring their newest acquisitions, Boomer Banks, Carter Dane, and Jimmy Durano, in addition to CB exclusives Levi Karter and Ricky Roman. I was personally very excited for this, having seen the teaser that premiered at CockyCon and speaking briefly with Benny and Boomer at that event about what this actually was.

Billed as an ‘erotic documentary’ (which sounds like PR-speak for HQ porn) Just Love really is something different:

Shot entirely on a gorgeous private island off the coast of Puerto Rico, this new series showcases exclusive models Boomer Banks, Ricky Roman, Carter Dane, Jimmy Durano, and Levi Karter opening up and being truthful about learning to love and accept themselves for exactly who they are. Novel concept, right? Well… their answers may surprise you — not because their journeys deviate from the norm per se, but because of how universally relatable they are at heart. Touching on topics such as self health, expectations and acceptance, coming out, and (don’t worry!) even sex, this sensitive and insightful series aims to engage and inspire all viewers, serving up a spoonful of honest love before showing you some of the most passionate sex between men shot on film.

That’s fuckin’ heavy stuff.  And this doesn’t disappoint:

While it is enjoyable to watch (and yes – impossible to resist playing along with) it was also fascinating to see these men begin to be explored by a filmmaker as human beings. I don’t know how to say it better than that. In contrast with something like Raging Stallion or Hot House, where a human being is the last thing you’d ever want to see Sean Zevran as (I stand by my porn Maserati reference. Sean is a finely tuned, precise, and exquisite piece of machinery), the opportunity to listen to these men describe and define themselves and talk about what it has meant to be objects of desire (the good and bad parts of that) and what roles sex and sexuality have played in their personal lives is incredibly seductive and enlightening. Somehow knowing that there’s really someone rattling around in there makes it all so much more; more sexual, more powerful, more stimulating.

The title of this series is especially apt, too. As a sex worker and a writer I’ve always striven to explain what I do as a manifestation of love. It’s difficult for people to understand and I always feel compelled to qualify that idea and explain that it needn’t be “romantic” love or “family” love or “in” love or anything like that. But a kind of admiration and respect that nods towards the humanness in all of us.  It’s why I’ve only talked here about things I thought were great – scenes or performers or pairings that (deliberately or not) dipped into that world and showed some of that kind of love. I will miss sharing that with all of you.

This is particularly hippie-dippy (and I’ll deny this all if you bring it up in real life with me), but this brings to mind the hindu greeting “namaste,” (which terrible white women everywhere have ruined in modern times). In its most literal form, namaste is an acknowledgment of the spirit/divine/animating presence within someone else. Just a fast admitting that they are; they exist.  That might be the best thing we get to do as people.

It’s a very short time we get on this world. I implore you to love yourselves (physically, yes, but in every way that you are capable) and to stop yourself the next time you are compelled to tear down those you disagree with or deem to be less than you. Acknowledge their humanness (even if it’s only to yourself), and let them be who they’re going to be.

If I absolutely had to highlight something to complain about in this scene, Ricky Roman’s sexbabble seems especially inauthentic in contrast to the smart and passionate things he says at the top about masc/fem roleplay. But it’s easy to overlook with Boomer’s enormous cock tamping his words back down into his throat.

In all honesty, there wasn’t enough of the feels talk in this episode. Obviously I enjoyed watching Ricky take it like a champion (I still don’t know how anyone does it. Boomer – god bless, buddy), but I found myself at minute :34 going “wait. That’s IT? That’s all this one is??”

I will be waiting for more with breath that is bated.

  1. Okay I have to admit that clip was good and I liked their frank honesty and how they were actually trying to teach people through sharing.

Yes seeing others as human beings is always a good deal not just an object of desire.

It’s the same thing with profiles too many never see or think about the person just what they want.

  2. I’ve got this clip cued up for the next time I’m in the mood, I have to admit I like the sensual aspects of Cockyboys output so thanks Tyler for featuring this as your last post here

  3. Tyler, you are an amazing writer and a wonderful soul. I will do my best to make MDH a positive and encouraging experience for our loyal readers.
