My indie nerd friends (that I follow on Twitter and pretend are my real friends) have been swearing up and down that Japandroids‘ Celebration Rock is one of the best albums of the year. I’ve yet to listen to any songs beyond “The Night of Wine and Roses” and the supposed standout track “The House That Heaven Built”, but I guess I should? I don’t know! I’m reluctant to ever do anything that’s “cool”, which probably makes me more obnoxious than people who are actually “cool”.
In more important news, the band just released a video for the aforementioned track “The House That Heaven Built”. You should check it out and decide whether or not you want to be “cool”… It’s okay if you don’t! I support that! You are not alone!
But I think I’m going to try being “cool”, because I like this a lot.
