Jamie Cullum: “Everything You Didn’t Do”

British jazz-pop star Jamie Cullum will be releasing his first album in four years, Momentum, on May 20, and fans were treated to the first taste last week with lead single “Everything You Didn’t Do”. The track should appeal to anyone who enjoys pianos, bouncy melodies and guys who sing bouncy melodies over pianos.

Can you tell I don’t know much about Jamie Cullum? (Beyond this, which was kind of great.)

Honestly, I’m just writing this post because I was tired of writing about hipster shit you don’t care about, disappointed by Selena Gomez‘s Rihanna-lite “Come & Get It“, embarrassed by my appreciation for Avril Lavigne‘s totally mindless “Here’s To Never Growing Up“, and pissed off that J. Harvey stole Cakes Da Killa from me. That’s more information than you needed to know. I sincerely hope that I haven’t offended any rabid Jamie Cullum fans with my indifference.

(Is anyone a rabid Jamie Cullum fan? I’m genuinely curious.)

  1. I really enjoyed his album Twentysomething. I listened to almost nonstop my freshman year of college when I was in the process of coming out. So Jamie Cullum holds a special place in my memories of music.

  2. im not a rabid fan, but i am a fan. i never got around to give his other albums a listen, but his “twentysomething” album is one of my favorites of all time. its mostly gorgeous covers, but his original songs are also amazing. its a very “spring” or “rainy day” album if that makes sense

  3. I’m a rabid fan!!!! but I don’t care!!! I ahte lots of mainstream artist… so it’s just fair that now and then people just show themselves indifferent to the kind of artist I like!!!
