Monday was International Talk Like A Pirate Day and that’s obnoxious but it did bring our attention to this awesome song and video by a handsome young artist named Cosmo Jarvis. It’s a make-you-sigh-wistfully ditty about two pirates and their forbidden love.
If I get married, this might have to be my wedding song. Does that mean I have to have a pirate theme? I’m more of a superhero guy (guys look hotter in spandex than with peglegs). A pirate theme is doable if Cosmo sings his song in person. While wearing only an eyepatch and accompanied by a parrot.
p.s. This vid has apparently been around for awhile, so forgive us for being slow on the gay pirate uptake.

It’s worth pointing out that Cosmo is straight, and wrote this song to take the hyper-testosterone laden tavern crowds of Great Britain by surprise. It’s meant to be sung along too… Also, his entire album is great.
There is also an acoustic version that is just as good.
