Of all the artists we’ve featured on Manhunt Daily, here is the number one complaint we’ve received–“What’s with all these Tom of Finland wannabes? Drawing big dicks doesn’t equal art. Blah, blah, blah! Boobly smoobly.” Okay, so maybe just those first two sentences are applicable. Long story short? People are bored with a good portion of gay erotic art.
Well, if you don’t want fake Tom of Finland, how about a quirky comic strip called TIM of England? The lead character is like a gayer, shallower version of Tintin, which may not be much of a stretch depending on who you ask. And he wears a cute little leather cap! that one part of the strip where tim’s partner preferred to read about the sex, instead of doing it with tim himself, made me laugh out loud, once i realized there were only two panels to it!
i also appreciated the irony of the “Man of My Dreams” strip — i definitely did not see that punch•line coming, for sure.
