Adam Lambert Traces the Track of His Tears

Last night on American IdolAdam Lambert worked it out, and if I do say so myself… he looked quite dapper in the process. His rendition of Smokey Robinson & The Miracles' "Track of My Tears" not only impressed the episode's mentor (Smokey himself), but even left Simon Cowell saying that it was the best performance of the night. The judges ate that shit up!

There have been times when the panel has praised a performance that left me cringing (see David Cook's rendition of Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby"), but I sincerely think that Lambert's spin on the song proves that he has what it takes to become America's first queer Idol winner. I just hope they don't make him ditch the nail polish in the process. Be true to yourself, Adam!

  1. I think Adam is the best … his rendition of Ring of Fire was sweet. Last night, I think he looked like a young Kurt Russell … sexy as all hell!
