My feelings on Lady Gaga fluctuate often, and today is the day I realized I have absolutely no problem with her. Why the sudden change in feeling? In an interview with OUT magazine, the “Poker Face” singer discussed the conditions in which she agreed to go on tour with fellow music-maker Kanye West. She told him:
“I just want to be clear before we decide to do this together: I’m gay. My music is gay. My show is gay. And I love that it’s gay. And I love my gay fans and they’re all going to be coming to our show. And it’s going to remain gay.”
It’s quotes like this that make me respect her and realize that my biggest issue with all this Gaga-mania has nothing to do with the individual behind the music. The problem here is the media and her obsessive fans. They insist on painting her as this “original”, “unique” and “artistic” individual.
Regardless of whether those adjectives are accurate, I resent this girl for labels she hasn’t placed on herself. It’d kind of be like someone telling you that someone else is “VGL” (very good looking) to the point that you begin to believe they placed that label on themselves. You start thinking, “Damn, this guy is such an arrogant prick. He’s not even that hot.”
At the end of the day, I just have to accept Lady Gaga for who she is and not what people are telling me she should be. This chick deserves gay icon/idol status far more than someone like Britney or Paris Hilton. She’s actually speaking up and embracing us in a very real way, and I can even look past her occasional annoyances to admit that.

First of all, they claim that she is an openly gay artist, which she isn’t, and said so. Also, take note of the comments. They are pretty sad. The comment I left is last (currently).

You also have to see, like Marylin Manson, GaGa is basically making fun of society. She has stated that before, and the fact that these two are friends. I love it personally.
