Connor Storrie’s butt takes center stage in new horror short film by Nia DaCosta

Connor Storrie’s butt could probably be used to sell just about anything, including a cell phone company’s network.

While everyone has been busy daydreaming about Ilya Rozanov “coming to the cottage,” Verizon sent Storrie to a much scarier cabin in a short film by Nia DeCosta, director of Candyman and this year’s 28 Years Later: Bone Temple.

Storrie and DaCosta were spotted together at this year’s Vanity Fair Oscars party, and now we know why! The trailblazing director created a short film that is equal parts scary and funny, and Storrie acts his buns off — literally! Wearing tight jeans and a gray tank top that shows off his biceps, Storrie has never looked better.

In the horror short Look Behind You, Storrie is trying to cook and practice lines for a new script, but he keeps getting scared by smart home features mysteriously turning on.

It turns out his peach is just too juicy, and he’s been butt-dialing his own smart home features because Verizon’s “network is so relentlessly reliable.”

The film cheekily compares Storrie’s “best butt” with the company having “the best network,” although fans might think Storrie wins that contest hands down.

“From the concept to execution, this was an incredibly collaborative and creatively fulfilling experience,” Storrie said in a statement.

“Verizon is a brand that really understands storytelling and culture, so they fully leaned into the idea. And working with visionary director Nia DaCosta took everything to another level.”

DaCosta, known for her creative storytelling and deft hand within the horror genre, managed to turn what could have been a boring ad into a fun and scary short film that highlighted Storrie’s skills as an actor.

“I had such a great time working with Connor and making this spot for Verizon! The team was amazing and we had so much fun bringing this to life.”
