Henry Cavill’s Chest Is The Most Exciting Thing About The New “Man of Steel” Trailer.

Am I the only one who’s lost all patience for superhero movie trailers? The official trailer for Man of Steel came out yesterday, and I couldn’t give two flying fucks about the overly sincere plot or the fancy action sequences. (It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Nope, false alarm. It’s just two flying fucks.) In their past few attempts, Hollywood has failed to make Superman an interesting character for me, and if they’re under the impression that I’ll rush to theaters just to catch a few seconds of Henry Cavill half-naked…

They are almost one-hundred percent right about that. If I ever got my cheap ass out to the movies, I would definitely go see this and clandestinely touch myself through the pocket of my shorts. Cavill’s a total fox, and he doesn’t even need to take his shirt off to be sexy.

  1. I get that you’re consistently horny, Dewitt, but this is exactly the Superman movie we’ve been needing (and not that crappy one in mid 2000’s). Maybe it’s just that, but it’s hard *not* to be excited for it.

    …Not that his chest isn’t magnificent. >.>

  2. Blargh, is it? Maybe it’s just residual Marvel loyalty from my childhood, but I just can’t get it up for Superman as a character.

  3. sorry, but Russell Crowe as Superman’s birth father is bad enough — Kevin Costner as his adopted father?!?!?! Talk about BLECHHHH!!!!

  4. I’m not sure that I understand this complaint, but I’ve heard it before. Is it based on appearance or the acting skills? Pretty sure they’re both good actors. Either way, you should know that neither character will be prevalent through the entire film.

  5. I definitely lean more towards Marvel since there are genuine character flaws in its characters moreso than DC, and there are other DC characters I’d rather have, but at least this feels like a more honest origin story than the mid 2000’s one, and (I’m not saying it’ll be *better* than the original) even the original.

  6. Jesus, Henry Cavill is just … everything. There is no a single part of him not to drool over (or on…)

  7. No he doesn’t NEED to take his shirt off to be sexy but thank God he does!!! Now if only he would take the pants off too.

  8. Seriously, whoever it was at The Tudors who convinced him to drop trou then, needs to be a part of every thing he ever does from now on.

  9. Don’t worry, Dewitt. I’m in the same boat as you. I grew up with Marvel cartoons and comics…Superman (and a lot of DC stuff) just doesn’t do anything for me.

  10. I grew up with DC and don’t understand the emo Marvel characters. Boo Hoo, I have super powers, why can’t I be normal? {cuts self}

    DC Heroes know they have a duty to make something of themselves, They have overcome adversity and realize there is a bigger world out there that needs them. They also know the normal people need to learn how to rely on themselves when a being with god-like powers isn’t around. Marvel characters are all egomaniacal children with self loathing issues.

  11. …for truth, justice, and the American way…damn, we need “him” about now…a “hero” that inspires, and leads…n damn he is sooo fucking HOTT! Look up in the Sky…
