The good folks at Falcon have been treating Brent Corrigan‘s comeback like the second coming of Christ, going so far as to include a countdown clock on their site to signal the arrival of his first new scene. Now, I don’t want to be an erotic Grinch or anything, but am I the only one who’s convinced they’re contractually obligated to put him on a pedestal? While it’s not as if this isn’t a big deal in any way, shape or form—you might recall that I recently referred to him as one of the few remaining “true gay porn stars“—the fanfare surrounding this occasion seems a bit overboard.
“Working with Brent was a real treat,” director Nick Foxx states in a carefully-crafted press release that makes sure to mention how “famous” Corrigan is twice within the first paragraph. “This is not the Brent Corrigan of four years ago: his sex appeal and his performance are off the charts, and fans are going to love it!”
Answer these questions honestly in the comments section. After watching the preview clip at the end of this post, do you notice a considerable difference between the old Brent Corrigan and the new Brent Corrigan? Does this video, in any way, look more appealing than recent Falcon releases starring Alex Graham, Andrew Stark, Adrian Hart or Andrew Justice, none of which received a fraction of the PR push the studio’s putting into Corrigan’s return?
This feels like the part where I’m supposed to say something snarky and insert a GIF of Kermit the Frog drinking Lipton tea… But the truth is that there is literally “no tea, no shade“ on my part. My genuine belief is that Falcon‘s doing Corrigan a disservice by wildly hyping a scene that isn’t his best, their best or even his costar Sean Zevran‘s best.
If they hadn’t blown my expectations “off the charts”, I might have just spent this whole entry talking about how phenomenal his ass looks, instead of being a hyper-critical bastard about something people will jerk off to no matter how good it is… Because, duh, it’s fucking Brent Corrigan.
