The Locker Room: Ex-New England Patriot Joe Andruzzi Is One Of Yesterday’s Many Heroes

Everyone here at Manhunt has been kind of tip-toeing around the issue of how to proceed today in the wake of yesterday’s Boston Marathon bombings. For those of you who don’t know, Manhunt’s HQ is located in Boston. It’s a sad, scary day here at the office. And, speaking entirely for myself, I thought “how can I go in to work today and post about porn, dick, hot guys, and the other wonderful topics I get to write about when what happened happened?” To be terribly honest, my answer isn’t great. I’m just going to proceed per usual and hopefully today’s posts can allow people a temporary distraction from all the tragedy. And to be selfish, it’s a way to distract myself.

Joe Andruzzi is a big, bad former New England Patriot and cancer survivor whose foundation (dude was already pretty heroic for his work fighting pediatric cancer) was sponsoring an event at the marathon. He was photographed carrying one of yesterday’s injured in search of medical attention after the explosions. Joe was one of many first-responders, cops, firemen, EMTs, paramedics, marathon personnel, and ordinary people who risked their lives to help the injured and lost. Our sincere thanks and gratitude to them.

Here’s a couple more pics of Mr. Andruzzi. Hopefully his handsome, bearish visage will make you smile for a sec.

  1. Unfortunately, it takes something as horrific as this to see the real good in people.

Here’s to those police, fire, EMT’s, first responders and just ordinary people who ran toward the explosions, instead of away…heros everyone!

  2. Going about your life is the way to respond to terrorists. They do these things to cause you to stop living and hide in fear (hence the name terrorists). You did the right thing by acknowledging the tragedy but still showing up for work and carrying on with your life. By refusing to bend to their will you take away their greatest weapon and defeat them in the end.

  3. I live in the NYC metro area and the HORRIFIC events of monday reminded me of the worst day in american history ( 9/11 ) and all I can add is that time really NEVER heals all wounds but all that I can do is to PREY that someday it will !!!
