Taylor Swift: “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”

Guess what? Country-pop darling Taylor Swift released another break-up song! Except, this time, instead of making a songs that sound exactly like every other Taylor Swift song, she made a song that sounds exactly like every other Avril Lavigne song.

“We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, the lead single from her forthcoming album RED, was produced by Max Martin and Shellback. The Swedish duo’s known for their catchy, radio-ready tunes, and their foolproof hit-making formula has worked wonders for the likes of Britney Spears, Katy Perry, P!nk, Usher and pretty much anyone who’s ever had enough money to hire them.

For the most part, Swift’s work with the pair has been receiving positive reviews from pop fans. This isn’t all that surprising, given that it’s her least “country” track to date. ::sigh:: It shames me that some people remain stuck in the 1998 AOL profile “anything but country and rap, teehee” mentality, but that’s a topic for a whole other day…

  1. If I could ask this worthless waste of space one question, it would be: “How in the world have you managed to fool millions of people into thinking you have talent????”

  2. I want to put taylor swift, miley cyrus and justin beeber on a deserted island somewhere and make them sing to each other until they kill each other from shear boredom or their ears explode.. oh and put paris hilton and kim kardashian on there also…oh and snookie and all the jersey shore cast (skanks)
