Does anybody still "date" these days? We know that sounds like a dumb question, but more and more couples we know seem to have met through unconventional methods (aka Manhunt). Though they don't quite say it this way, we like to think it was "love at first fuck". Their emotional bond came after they formed a physical connection. And who says it has to be the other way around?
We're not living in the nineteenth century, so it's not as taboo to take a potential partner on a "test drive". However, some traditions are upheld over time, and some people still think it's bad luck to fuck on a first date. So for those of you who still go on dates, do you ever fuck on the first one? And if not, how many dates should you go before letting the goodies out of the jar?

The earliest I’ve had sex in a relationship is 2 weeks in. Granted I also don’t have sex outside of relationships because sex with random people just isn’t my thing.
Honestly, I do enjoy an actual “date” every now again. A real dinner and a movie date. If there is an actual connection I shy away from fucking too early. But if I don’t think it’s going anywhere at all, and there is physical attraction, why not just do it?? haha

For me… Rarely ever on the first date. Usually the 3rd date is my cue to get Physical!!

It’s been known to happen if the first date is going really really well, but 3rd date is a good guideline.
I have been on two dates with this guy in the picture currently. Have a third lined up. We havent had sex yet. I dont think we plan to any time soon. Both are into each other and things are going well. But, I would rather wait. We all forget that there is more to us than our dicks and assholes. It’s quite sad actually. I will fuck a hook up, but I wont fuck on a “date.” Two different things leading in two totally different directions.
My mantra always was…If you don’t fuck on the first date, how do you know you want a second? Sexual compatibility is pretty important…

I have had hook-ups that turned into something more. However, if it’s an actual date (not that I do it that often), I usually hold off on the first date. My current bf, though, I did bring him up to my bedroom on the second date (after a long evening of making out all over town).

well as some people here have already mentioned there is a BIG difference between a date and a hookup.
a date – usually means some emotional attachment as well, so no sex until the fourth date.
a hookup – different since its only about sex and can have sex after the first minute
however what started out as hookups can sometimes turn into fully fledged dating.

I rarely have random hookups, but thats because I have a long lidt of fuckbuddies at my disposal. The crazy thing is, I cant remember the last time I masturbated – I just call up a fuckbuddy every other day or so and that keeps me satiated.
Now and then I form a connection in real life or on a legit dating site like POF. That’s when I’ll go on a “date”. And if I think it could go somewhere I’ll make-out at most. But if I DONT think it’s going somewhere, I might change my mind. 😉

I think it just depends on the date and the people involved. My ex and I had sex the first time we met and our relationship lasted 3.5 years. It’s nice just to go out with someone to a dinner and a movie with no sex, but if the feelings and sparks are there, than there is no reason to hold back the sex.
