Abraham Lincoln Porn.

I received an e-mail from the fellows at Headmaster over the weekend, notifying me that they had picked a winner for our Reader Appreciation Month contest. If you recall, they asked you to write five sentences about an imaginary encounter with the celebrity of your choice.

The winner’s selection was, interestingly enough, Abraham Lincoln.

It would not be inaccurate to say that I didn’t see that one coming! Guest judge Johnny Murdoc—an erotic writer who recently launched his own publishing company Queer Young Cowboys—was kind enough to explain the logic behind his selection:

“Anyone who’s familiar with my work knows I’m a fan of angst in my erotica, and who can resist that last fuck? Five sentences is an incredibly short amount of story to work with, but the writer Bear Vivant gave me enough in those lines that I felt the story. So much so that I felt like the last line was almost tipping the writer’s hand. I like visceral details, and mentioning Abraham’s height is an immediate, tangible note that grounds readers.

“While some of the other entries appealed to me (I had to Google Casey Schreiner, but god damn… and who wouldn’t want to get high and wrestle with Paul Rudd), but the Lincoln entry grounded me, and made me want to read more.”
