I have a playlist specifically devoted to Monday mornings. It’s a special combination of mellow indie, classic rock and smooth R&B tracks, all of which are intended to make me calm the fuck down and deal with a brand new week. It stops me from hating life (and everything, as I’m prone to do).
Within thirty seconds of listening to Yuna‘s “Live Your Life”, I headed over to iTunes to download the song and immediately dragged it onto my “Monday” playlist. The same thing happened after I heard her previous release “Someone Out of Town”. This is beautiful, relaxing stuff that should provide a nice contrast to all the mindless Flo Rida/Katy Perry/LMFAO bullshit that’s currently populating modern radio.
^ That last sentence made me sound like a grumpy old man. And I’m okay with that.
