You Can Have A Shitty Superhero Show If The Actor Is Hot

As a comics geek, I cringe when the film and television industry adapts comic books badly. So when I read they were making a show about cute and sorta daddycub hero Green Arrow, I expected very little. The CW has dropped the “Green” and Arrow is now on the way.

Unlike the comics, dude isn’t blonde, doesn’t look like he’s wearing a mask, and…I totally stopped fanboy bitching when I saw the lead. Hung actor Stephen Amell is RIPPED. Holy damn. Put Green Arrow in a pink bunny outfit to fight crime if they keep making Amell work out shirtless.

  1. Holy fuck me I love the Green Arrow and him.
I don’t even really care if the shows bad.

  2. The reason Smallville was an instant hit was because Tom Welling ran around with his shirt off and not because of his acting… Of course they’re gonna try it again.

  3. I wished they went to Longbow Hunters direction, set it in Seattle and cast someone at least late 30s/early 40s. Of course, this is going to CW, where over 30 equals old troll. If all they wanted was a skinfest, the Key West based Aquaman would’ve worked better, with Justin Hartley and Adrianne “could’ve been Wonder Woman” Palicki.

  4. I was not pleased when I read above that this Green Arrow would not even be blonde – artificially or otherwise, but having seen the clip – I find I can excuse that.

  5. Forget about the suit, I think he should be Naked Arrow. Damn. I’d watch the show even if it was just about him working out over and over and over.  HOT!

  6. I’m absolutely astonished that they’re making this. I’m so totally excited. I’ll for sure be watching on premiere night. It’s even better that a great actor that I like will be playing the part as well.

    He’s just so hot!

  7. Sorry, but I’m not going to sell out just because a reasonably attractive actor is hired to play the role. This looks like a FAIL to me.
