Westboro Church’s Christmas Greeting

The lovely Westboro Baptist Church has sent out their Christmas greeting to the children of America. As expected, it's hate filled and down right creepy. Their re-write of the classic "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" includes such wonderful lyrics as "Don't leave your kid with this red fright. Just like a priest, he'll rape them at night," and is titled "Santa Claus Will Take You to Hell." Ummm… scary.

  1. I am so sick of radical fundamen-talist religious groups. It doesn’t seem to matter which faith they are, all they do is preach hate and intolerance. None of them is any better than the damned Nazi’s! There is a reason the founding fathers believed in a separation of church and state. And President Bush is the worst, the fucking FASCIST!!!

  2. You know, if grown men and women want to preach against gays, fine. That’s their choice. But to involve CHILDREN, who have no idea what they’re preaching against, and who probably have no say as to whether they even WANT to be involved – that is just wrong. Straight people do more damage to children’s minds every day than gay people ever will.
People who teach their kids about Santa are giving them someone to believe in. Someone happy, someone without all this hatred. I don’t understand why people would want to take that away from their children.
I’ll never understand these radical religious groups.

  3. God help these people when they die and stand before the Creator and he says, “I came so that you may have eternal life, not so you could spew vile hatered and look down on everyone else. To Hell with you, Pharisee.” Though I cannot vouch for the Big Guy I know He doesn’t know these people. We will piss on their heads from heaven. Peace. Chris

  4. I hardly think celebrating Christmas is “worshiping” an idol. No one is pledging their lives to Santa Claus. No one is going to church Sunday morning to devote a few hours of their lives to listen to a man preach about Santa and his story. No one is donating their money to the Church of Santa.
What is with this “Fag Santa”? He’s going to “rape” little kids at night? Well, if they’re all about us not telling children about Santa because he is so fake, why are they going to contradict themselves and say he is real by implying he is going to r ape the children?
So, now they are contradicting themselves as well as lying. Not to mention, they are hypocrites as well. I mean, Christians are supposed to be in the image of God. They are supposed to do what Jesus would do. Would Jesus cause an uproar like this? I highly doubt He would.

  5. I am reminded of all those Hot-Gospelling hypocrites who on the one hand spout “love” and “jesus” and “hallelujah,” etc., and implore their parishioners to adopt morality and work for “god’s” kingdom.
Yet how many times have we found they were living such sordid, secret lives of their own, doing precisely what they had warned their parishioners against, and ultimately have to say “Dear Lord forgive me for I have sinned!”
Maybe each one of this bigots has had an unfortunate upbringing or something like that, which gives him or her a particularly heavy cross to bear. If that is the case I only sympathize and extend the pure love of Oneness.
However, it would appear to me that each one of those individuals is living a Lie! Lying to him or herself, deep down, denying personal responsibility and projecting this lie onto other vulnerable souls around.
I ceased to proclaim myself as a christian many years ago, because I was to some extent living that sort of lie also. But I can still point to very poignant teachings of Jesus, for example he seemed to be most angry when confronted with Hypocrisy, more so than with any other human weakness.
Open to discussion here, these are just my own opinions and not set in concrete.

  6. It’s a shame that these so-called believing Christians keeping using God as a weapon to promote hatred covering up their own feelings of inadequacy. I’m a KU jayhawk and I’ve met Fred Phelps in person while protesting against his protests at the University of Kansas(KU) in Lawrence, KS and Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS. He looks and acts like a maniacal cartoon character wearing white gloves and face mask because he’s so afraid of germs. Where is the faith that he claims to posses?
These are not true Christians. True Christians believe in a loving God that could never hate something he/she created. It is my opinion as a Christian that if God didn’t create homosexuals and bisexuals, who according to the Kinsey Scale (google it) are a majority of all people, there wouldn’t be any. Also, homosexual relationships are prevalent in the animal kingdom (google it). Therefore, it is only logical for Christians, other religions, agnostics, and atheists to believe that homosexual relationships are indeed natural. End of debate. I’m also a big fan of Steven Covey and this is a win/win solution to a ridiculous debate that should have ended a long time ago.

  7. First off, this is just disgusting in so many ways.. This group has been a thorn in everyones side for years, and really, NO ONE at all takes them seriously. But, we still pay attention to them, giving them the spotlight each time they make one of there vile moves. Maybe if everyone just stopped looking, they would go away.

  8. As a Christian, I take offense to any instance when a person accuses religious groups of having the only zealous radicals in the world. But when they do so in the same breath where they invoke Godwin’s Law (look it up), I can’t help but chuckle a little.
That said, I think WBC has come to earn a place in this world. Arguably being the most extreme group on the face of the earth, they have given every sane mind on the planet a common enemy. And the enemy of my enemy is my friend 🙂

  9. Haha! That was great!
(am I the only one laughing)
Just think about it guys, this Nazi loving extreme Christmas/homo hating group is just what gay people need!
I will explain this marketing in a way that gays will get, if Gucci wants everyone to buy their product, why do they do? They get super hot celebs to endorse it! Then people like the product, and who is hotter than Santa right now?
This is what gays need, associate us with Santa! Who everyone who isn’t a Nazi loves! When Santa endorses us, what normal person can hate us? Gays aren’t looking for acceptance from fundamental nut jobs, just the greater society. The reason these wackos are everywhere is because everyone laughs at them, not with them. The greater society hates them as much as we do! Remember, your enemies enemy is your friend
Merry Christmas everyone, and may Santa sex you all up 🙂

  10. These people look like they need to go and get a life. What a joke. Not so funny for those kids though. It’s pretty much child abuse. Don’t you guys have laws protecting children from religious cults like this?

  11. Words fail me. The scary thing is that these kids will propagate the hate in this video for many many generations to come. These people make me sick

  12. Lets be honest. I am a Christian and i feel like i don’t have a problem with lying or drugs or reverence… but based on what –i— even recognize to be God’s plan and command in the Bible, this is where i fall.
But if you asked me tomorrow if this is my weakness, i would say yes. im not a hypocrite about it. And i try not to be one to God. ANYWAYS- These men, women, and children do not speak for all Christians, and rationally i don’t think they speak based on God’s word– or even most Baptists… even though im not a member of that denomination.,, anyways, don’t pin this on Christians. Where i go, we know Christ spent time with the unGodly, offering forgiveness to those who will follow his commandments, and offering forgiveness to those who ask. i bet on that, not videos.

  13. When liberals blast Christianity, or religion in general, they seem to think that a person of faith believes he or she is above everyone else. As in all walks of life, extremism within a group seems to bring out the worst in people….Christians included. And contrary to the mutterings of liberals, Christians do realize that they are still spiritually and physically weak, and with faults. The religious right does not have the market cornered on its non-acceptance of homosexuality. It crosses all demographics; conservative or liberal, rich or poor, black or white. So, you are sorely mistaken if you expect all walks of America to readily accept homosexuality, and pass every gay-centered bill that goes to the Hill. However, I do believe that in time, there will be better, and equal, opportunities for us ahead. We can all be pioneers now by continuing to be productive members in our communities, so we can forge our paths for tomorrow. And we can do all this without having to cram our agendas down people’s throats, lest we act like cry babies. You give an organization like Westboro any type of media exposure, and you give in to the media machine by granting them any form of free publicity. Shameful.

  14. OMG… I cant believe these people Publicly flaunt their Ignorance…
Let alone CLAIM to be Baptist OR Christians.
They belive in God yet twist “his” word to their tainted agenda.
Corupt kids and polute the future
These childeren will be our future LEADERS. Run Screaming into the Night.
    Be AFRAID… BE VERY AFRAID!

  15. Hi!! I am up here in Canada, … Not really following this one, … BUT . . if asked for my two cents worth, … . As A Gay male, … If we rise up and fight against these religious sects or “CULTS”, as I call them, … Do It Thru proper legal means, … Where I come from, … it is fine to have of your own oppinion, BUT HOWEVER, … Once you force it on others or propagate hate literature, … Irregardless of the media, be it here in cyberspace, or book, DVD, paper, … Whatever… In My Oppinion, That is crossing the line. I, as a canadian, have been following the political goings on, soth of the 49th, and I am verry hopeful that Mr. Obama might be the man to help change things down there. So perhaps with the right political pressure on the right people, … . “HOPEFULLY”, Things like this, will be no longer permitted to go on, … . After All, What makes it so right to say that my preferrances, or beliefs are of greater value than anyone elses??

  16. let’s blame Santa for the economy? WHAT?? And for all those ridiculous hate groups, god, the one and only, doesn’t like you. How does that feel? Read your bible. Where does it say, “it’s ok to hate someone because they’re different?” You know, if god made us in an image of himself, isn’t god gay too? I just thought of that. Have a good day!

  17. When hate groups like Westboro are given a mouthpiece through their manipulation of using the media, we have no one to blame but ourselves for giving their organization any type of recognition. Judging by the rants of bloggers here on manhunt, Westboro’s methods of inciting hate is a battle they have easily won. When they were here in Hawaii a while back, onlookers simply ignored them; yet the local media went out of its way to profile this group. Manhunt, you may think its cute to exploit the children of Westboro by embedding that repulsive video. But give us something better than granting another hate group free publicity.

  18. and these church freaks actually wonder why the christian church is loosing members every day world wide…. it is people like that that pervert God. not gay people. in my country they would have been charged and fined for inciting hate crimes/
