Weekly Top Ten Wild Card: Things Get Rocky

Tired of all the stereotypical gay crap on our Weekly Top Ten charts? Well, now you can do something about it! Today’s Wild Card round transcends beyond the usual dance divas to include music by actual bands. You know, those groups of people who play instruments?

This week’s competitors include Maroon 5, Kings of Leon, Belle and Sebastian and Mumford & Sons. The song with the most votes will make it onto this weekend’s countdown, so be sure to pick your favorite before it’s too late!

To listen and cast your vote, follow the JUMP:

Maroon 5 – Give A Little More: Given my ridiculous grudge against Maroon 5, the only way I’d vote for this song is if Adam Levine got down on his knees and sucked my fat cock. Even then, he’d have to be a really good cocksucker to make up for the mediocrity of his band.

Kings of Leon – Radioactive: The debate is on! Did Kings of Leon sell out after “Use Somebody” and “Sex On Fire”? Is this track too mainstream, or are they returning to their roots? Does it really matter if they’re still making good music? Should we stop asking stupid questions and get back to the music?

Belle & Sebastian – Write About Love: After four years of waiting, Belle & Sebastian fans will finally get their hands on the follow-up to The Life Pursuit. The beloved indie band recently unveiled the album’s title track, much to the delight of pretentious music bloggers everywhere.

Mumford and Sons – Little Lion Man: Though I’ve heard this band’s name thrown around for months, it wasn’t until recently that I finally heard them. This particular song has been around for over a year, and it’s just starting to pick up momentum with the US audience.

  1. Got through 48 secs of Belle and Sebastian. OMG – it’s awful. Let’s not even talk about Mumford and Sons! The Kings of Leon is ok, but I could do without the pseudo-gospel element. That leaves Maroon 5. They are all over my ipod; Top Ten, please!

  2. I voted for Radioactive. Interesting Wild Card this week. Hip Hop first, now Rock. Perhaps a dance face off next week?

  3. looks like he’s sucked you off since you posted this… mr you-can-always-rely-on-him-to-have-lots-of-video-whores-in-his-videos is winning.

  4. Mumford & Sons is definitely not typical gay fare, but they are at least more interesting than the other three options…

  5. WOW you finally got your heads out of all the gay asses, mumford and sons, fuck all y’all, this is not straight music its good music, not every gay likes gaga, thanks for representing!

  6. Okay so…I like Maroon 5 and the song is awesome. Plan on buying the album. But! Kings of Leon is definitely where it’s at! I just heard the song for the first time today and I’ve been listening to it ever since! I absolutely LOVE that band! And I cannot wait until the album drops! I melt everytime I hear the lead singers voice! Love the band, Love the song! As for the other two bands…couldn’t really get into them…

  7. I went with Belle and Sebastian only because all four are ridiculously derivative, but at least B&S went WAY back….

  8. Mumford & Sons are a good band and I like the fact they are getting a break in America. Maroon 5 is good pop music, but they don’t rock at all. I still think “Misery” deserves a second chance. Ultimately, the vote went to Kings of Leon, sellout or not.

  9. I agree with Adam. Since when do the gays have to listen to a certain genre? Idiotic! Straight music?!?! Are you kidding me?!? No such thing! Music is music! Period!
