Wall-E Comes Alive!!

The University of Reading in UK brings Wall-E to life and I want him all for myself! Syke! However, Scientists from the university found ways to embed a bunch of cultured neurons which was placed onto a multi-electrode array (MEA). The MEA is a dish with approximately 60 electrodes which pick up the electrical signals generated by the cells. This is then used to drive the movement of the robot and has it operating as human beings.

The main purpose for this is that eventually this will lead to a better understanding of development of diseases and disorders which affects the brain such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and brain injuries.  Wow, I love the art of science, it’s canvas has so many paintings.  Love, Love, Love it!!!!
