Vote For The Weekly Top Ten Wild Card

It's time for another sword fight! In today's Wild Card round, four male vocalists will compete for the chance to inject some testosterone into this Saturday's Weekly Top Ten. Penis-wielding individuals haven't had much luck on your charts, but there have been a few acts who've been able to trample the divas and take the prize.

Who will be taking this glorious position? It's between Shinedown, Robbie Williams, Jónsi and Ludacris. You only have one day to vote, so get in your pick before it's too late! And if you don't like any of these selections, be sure to comment with something you'd like to see next week. If you have any doubts that we won't listen, let it be known that half of this round's choices were selected by you.

Shinedown – If You Only Knew: I still haven't forgiven Shinedown for continually assaulting my ears with "Second Chance". That song was so overplayed that I cringed every time I heard it. Thankfully, this one isn't as annoying. Not quite my type of music, but I wouldn't mind seeing it rock our charts!

———————————————————————————

Robbie Williams – Morning Sun: Although the third single from Robbie's Reality Killed The Video Star doesn't have a video yet, we couldn't control ourselves from prematurely shooting it your way. It's got a great classic rock vibe, channeling Elton John to a degree. Despite rumors that this was a Michael Jackson tribute, Robbie claims that it's about himself.

———————————————————————————

Jónsi – Go Do: How about showing some love for an openly gay and delightfully odd artist? The lead singer of Sigur Rós will be releasing his debut album soon, and we've been offered "Go Do" as the first single. Even though it's absolutely beautiful, I'm not sure it has enough pizazz to win your ever-so-critical hearts.

———————————————————————————

Ludacris – How Low: "Rumor has it that if you go low enough, Ludacris will appear in the mirror." I'm absolutely obsessed with the introduction to this video. They played this song at the club this past weekend, and the kids went absolutely apeshit crazy for it. I've never seen so many twinks and territorial lesbians gyrating on the dance floor together! Wait, am I old enough to call people "kids"?

  1. I still can’t forgive Ludacris for massacreing Dusty Springfield’s “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me” when he sampled it for a recent hit; Robbie Williams just doesn’t do anything for me; Shinedown…meh; but luckily one choice this week had a bit of individuality. Jonsi gets my vote.

  2. One more thing. The video premiered tonight on British TV, so you might be able to include it with the chart if the song makes it to the Top Ten.

  3. The weekly top 10 always disappoints me b/c it usually lacks anything other than campy club mixes (which I like- don’t get me wrong, I bartend at a gay bar). But when I want new music, I just go to the wild card choices and usually end up downloading all of those. Hell, I’d be happy with a Weekly 10 Wild Card choices haha
