Twin Shadow: “Five Seconds”

Justin Bieber finally unveiled the new music video for “Boyfriend”. Former X-Factor judge Cheryl Cole did her best impression of Rihanna‘s “We Found Love”. R&B singer Brian McKnight debuted the full version of “IfUrReadyToLearn (C.A.T.S.)”, the best song about squirting vaginas you will ever here. That awesome chick from Gotye‘s “Somebody That I Used To Know”, otherwise known as Kimbra, busted out a new track for the US release of her album (which doesn’t come close to comparing to this oddly great Converse collaboration).

Now that we’ve caught you up on some of this week’s pop music leftovers, let’s talk about Twin Shadow‘s new single “Five Seconds”. Be nice though! It’s one of my favorite new songs of the week, and I don’t take kindly to people insulting my musical taste!

Oh, who am I kidding? I don’t give a fuck what you think about my taste. This ’80s-inflenced romp picks right up where Twin Shadow’s previous effort Forget left off, starting off slow and building up into a track with a little more “oomph”. Give it a few minutes before you immediately dismiss it.
