The rumors I’ve heard is that he puts his family before his career which is very admirable. I never understood how celebrities who are out or not necessarily out but known to be gay (like Matt Bomer, Anderson Cooper, etc.) Don’t have stories floating around about them sexually. You’d think they’ve probably had their fair share of hook ups and there would be some information or stories out there. Even cloested gay or bi celebrities, including athletes, seem to not have stories floating around. I just find it strange that when it comes to straight celebrities you hear stories about their sex lives and such.

I’ve never heard of Matt Bomer, but after looking him up, he has a cable show on USA and is linked to a man by the name Simon Hall. Matt is an attractive man and seeing his partner, a older looking man, I would think, he’s mostly a bottom. They have 3 children together.

Dewitt, thank you for introducing me to Matt Bomer and his series “White Collar’ on USA network. I just finished watching 2 episodes on Comcast Demand. The series is great and Matt Bomer character is smart and sexy. He has a very nice phat ass wearing that suit on “White Collar”. I am now hooked on this series. LOL

From what I’ve heard, there is an agreement between certain press and the studios that bankroll the actors. For years, people have seen Jodie Foster with her girlfriend, but kept it quiet out of fear that the movie studios would step in legally. As long as the actors or actresses make the studios or record companies money, the press will play. That’s why Perez Hilton got into such trouble by outting people.
Well that part I’ve heard. My question is more about hook ups and such. If you google groupies for example, there are websites where female groupies talk about their encounters with rock stars or athletes. My question is where are all the stories about the gay or bi guys, gay or closeted? If you think about the number of professional athletes for example, there has to be quite a few closeted bi or gay ones. I’m sure they are having hook ups on the road, maybe using manhunt or other sites even. Actors that are known to be gay but deny it, or are openly gay, no one seems to come out with stories about them. Except John Travolta, there’s actually a whole website filled with stories about him lol. I’m not saying it’s right to out people or share personal stories about them, I’m just saying I’m surprised it doesn’t happen a lot more, if at all. As far as Perez Hilton is concerned, I think it had to with be publicly ridiculed for being a hypocrite as well that pressured him into changing his ways. It’s also well known that he accepts payment or favors from studios to promote and say positive things about their products. If they don’t compensate him in some way, he trashes their product on his site. I hope most people who read his site are aware of that.
Don’t know Matt personally, but I worked with him 12 years ago at the Utah Shakespearean Festival. He was a grad student at Carnegie Mellon University at the time, and his roommate at CMU was Zachary Quinto. Oh, to be a fly on that wall. Even as a student actor he made quite an impression.
Why should we care about straight women lusting after a gay actor when we “gay men” enjoy lusting after straight actors so much. At this point in society, hopefully the rising generation can see gayness in the same light as lefthandedness: it’s just a less common, but totally natural part of humanity.
