Tonya Harding Responds to President Obama

Fifteen years have passed since the incident which many refer to as "the great knee whacking."

Tonya Harding would like to be remembered for her above average athletic ability which made her the first American woman to land a Triple Axle in competition. But whether she likes it or not, the former figure skater is best remembered for conspiring and arranging an attack on rival team mate Nancy Kerrigan at the 1994 U.S National Championships.

Harding's attempt back-fired and both ladies went on to compete in the '94 Winter Olympic Games. The unfortunate events attracted much popularity and a whole new fan base to Figure Skating.

Kerrigan went on to earn the silver medal while Harding became the center of harsh media scrutiny and jokes that still haunt her to this day. Most recently, President Barack Obama mentioned Harding's name in a negative analogy to his candidacy.

Harding fired back at the comments from Obama in an interview, stating that "any publicity, is good publicity". See all that she had to see in the video above.
