As was mentioned in our recent “Hotness Level” post, the main relationship in Star Trek Into Darkness is between Capt. Kirk and Mr. Spock. It’s a big ole’ love story in space. The reason why they have such amazing chemistry on the big screen is because they are in love with each other in real life. Zachary Quinto is openly gay, and Chris Pine is…what is Chris? Do we know? Is he gay? Whatever his orientation, theirs is a Hollywood love story that defies gender and sexual determination. They are two souls in love. Buzzfeed had an awesome rundown of just how intimate they are with each other, and the ease with which they show affection and concern for one another. Their press junket for Star Trek is all loving looks, mutual admiration, and enough sexual tension that you could make in into a buttplug for each of them. I don’t know what that means exactly. I just didn’t want to type anything about cutting tension with a knife.
