With a vote of 68-31, the US Senate confirmed yesterday that Sonia Sotomayor will become the 111th Supreme Court justice. This also makes her the first Hispanic individual and third woman to serve on the court. There’s been much debate about her stance on LGBT issues, so we’ll just have to wait and see if her interpretation of the law is in our favor
