“Skyfall: Adele’s James Bond Song

I like it. It’s got that swooping but sexy orchestral feel to it, which is the hallmark of every good James Bond theme song. Except for this one, which I still think is phenomenal, so shut it. A snippet of Adele’s “Skyfall” has popped up online. It’s her first new track since her album 21 won everything and sold millions of  copies and basically made her the bitch to beat.  And it’s the theme to the upcoming film of the same name. Give it a listen after the break, and let us know what you think. Personally, I think she should play Bond’s next love interest. She’s hot, and Daniel Craig as Bond should embrace a Rubenesque gal for once.

We’re sorry guys, but it keeps getting yanked from SoundCloud. You can still hear it here.

  1. I JUST HEARD IT…LOVED IT FROM WHAT I COULD HERE. FUCK ADELLE BEING THE NEXT BOND GIRL…..I COULD BE THE NEXT BOND GIRL AS LONG AS DANIEL IS WILLING TO BEND ME OVER AND TAKE ME…ONE HOT MOVIE STAR STUD. BRAVO.

  2. Hate it. Sounds like another David Arnold-produced disaster, trying to be Bond-esque and failing dismally. Yo, Bond producers: not every theme needs to sound like “Goldfinger” or “Live and Let Die,” some of them were completely different, and still triumphantly Bond, like “Nobody Does It Better” and “For Your Eyes Only.”

  3. I kind of agree with the comment by Joseph, but I’m still gonna love it anyway, ’cause I love Bond films, love Daniel Craig Bond films, love Adele and think she is gorgeous, talented, funny, witty, and rich. The song does seem immediately derivative of early Bond title songs, I’m afraid.

I was recently looking at a youtube video called “Wingsuit Basejumping: The Need 4 Speed” that has a song called “Disappear Here” by a band called Hydra, and I thought this scene, with Daniel Craig escaping from the bad guys at the opening of the new film by jumping off a cliff in a wingsuit and flying away, with this Hydra song as the opening music, would have made a fabulous beginning sequence for a film entitled “Skyfall.” Check it out!

  4. Wow!! I like it a lot! It reminds me of the Shirley Bassey theme songs, very lush and wowzer 🙂
