A while back, I read an article in LAPTOP magazine about sex robots, and I’ve been obsessed with the idea ever since. It may sound like an unappealing idea when you first hear it. I mean, who would want to snuggle up to an uncomfortably cold piece of metal?
But think about it for a second. As technology advances, these mechanical beings could be made to resemble the warmth of human flesh. They’ll even be able to cuddle and have conversations afterwards! That is, if you’re into that sort of thing… If you’re the “no strings attached” type of guy, you can simply hit the off switch when you’re done.
You may express disbelief in statements from experts like, “Love with robots will be as normal as love with other humans”, yet it’s not that farfetched or odd when you think about it. These love-bots would basically be highly advanced sex toys. It’s like riding your dildo, except more exciting.
Technically, we’ve already taken steps towards sex with robots. Just consider a toy like the RealTouch, which simulates the action you see while watching your favorite porno. It’s not exactly full-blown fucking, but if a tiny device can make you feel like Leo Giamani‘s giving you a sloppy blowjob, you have to wonder what else could be possible.
I’m not going to lie. If a full-blown sex robot hit the market and the company offered me a free trial, I’d sign up without any hesitation. It’s not like I’d give up on having sex with real men or anything, because nothing could ever replace that. But wouldn’t you be a little curious about how it’d feel?
