Scissor Sisters: “Baby Come Home”

Forget “Shady Love”, “Only The Horses” and “Let’s Have A Kiki”, because you’re about to hear the only song that matters on the new Scissor Sisters album. Okay, so maybe we’re just assuming that it’s the only song that matters! We haven’t had a chance to give Magic Hour a full spin, so we’re not sure whether to believe the critics who say it’s a clusterfuck or the critics who say it’s a return to form.

Alas, we can say with great faith that “Baby Come Home” is one of the best songs on the project. If you fell in love with the band that brought you “Take Your Mama” and “Laura”, then you’ll surely to clutch your pearls and give someone a pearl necklace when you hear this. For serious, okay? Take a listen.

  1. disgusting  –  sorry  i  fell for it and wasted my time watching this stupid thing!!

  2. cool, love the song and the vid.  Did you guys check out Kingship’s new song video to Wandering Sailor?  Brilliantly gay song and vid.

  3. I have been a Scissor Sisters fan since almost the very beginning about 10 years ago. This is awesome.  So what if their videos are somewhat campy and fun. It’s the lyrics and music that make them the greatness they are. This song esp, when I bought the cd the other day while waiting for another copy to be shipped from the UK it struck many nerves. I’m going through issues with a guy I love right now and half the songs speak to me about all the BS going on with it.  I cannot wait to see them live again in Royal Oak, MI! They put on fantastic shows and are ALWAYS down and willing to meet their fans afterwards without a problem!

  4. This is really one of their best albums. And this track is classic Scissor Sisters. Which is why I really love tracks like Let’s Have A Kiki, F*uck Yeah, Only The Horses and Shady Love  since it shows them breaking out. Those four songs alone make the album worth buying.
