Rihanna Is Her Own Worst Enemy

Rihanna-vs-rihanna

Even if Rihanna manages to pull a miracle comeback with "Russian Roulette" on the Weekly Top Ten, we've already decided that another one of her songs will be debuting this weekend. And with two new singles out, we're having some difficulty deciding which song to throw on the charts. Care to help us out?

On any other Thursday we'd be asking you to choose our Wild Card selection, but this time around we're making an exception. Aside from Rihanna, we've already chosen three of the new entries. There simply isn't any room left for anyone but this "fucking lady"! But what song are we making room for–"Wait Your Turn" or "Hard"?

Wait Your Turn: This song just keeps growing on me. Even if it's a little gloomier than Rihanna's previous hits, it's got a certain sexy, mysterious vibe to it. Plus, I love that she says she's "such a fucking lady". I will probably be quoting that line for months, just in case you're wondering…

Hard: The chorus of this song involves the lyrics, "I'm so hard". Enough said? Rapper Young Jeezy offers assistance on this track, creating a collaboration with a little more of a hip-hop edge. Does anyone else feel slightly empowered when you listen to this?

  1. I’m not really feeling her new style too much, waaaaaay too dark, but then again, I wasn’t really feeling it when she switched it up the first time from her “pop” sound, but I grew to love it, so maybe in time.
I like “Hard” a little better than “Wait Your Turn’ but out of the 3, none of them are chart worthy, or too radio friendly.

  2. How about neither? Just because she’s on the charts doesn’t mean she actually deserves to be there. (And this is coming from someone who likes her.)

  3. ehmm. i also vote neither.
too dark and boring. tries to sound like ‘run this town’, but fails.
    old rihanna was better.

  4. I prefer “Wait your turn”, but the whole vibe of her album is very dark and she needs to get over the whole Chris Brown incident and make happier music.

  5. I think this is suppose to be her “freedom album” where she can try different stuff. I would love more dance stuff, but this stuff isn’t horrible. Plus her songs get remixed to death anyway so I’m sure we will still get plenty of stuff to dance to from this album.

  6. i gonna have to go with Wait Your Turn..Hard is way too urban for her..its not her..i do like urban hip hop music but not from rihanna
