Rick And Bubba Don’t Like Gay Pride

After President Obama‘s proclamation on Gay Pride Month, a couple of idiot DJ’s in Alabama had a lot to say — and none of it was good. These two weren’t very happy about it to say the least as they ponder why we don’t celebrate “fornication appreciation month”. Now there’s an idea I could get on board with…

The idiocy of this whole thing is hard to put into words, so just watch and let me know what you think.

  1. Dumbass is also missing that in his scripture, sex had between said man and wife is only acceptable when INTENDING to procreate. So, every time and his wife are having a jolly, they are sinning, too, in his scripture. And these people have a public voice? Sickening.

  2. I have four issues with his statements.

    A. Who’s to say that Christianity is right? This country was built on Tolerence, religious and otherwise.

    B. Every time he has sex using a condom, he’s committing murder. In the bible it says that ‘it is better to spill your seed in the belly of a whore than to spill it on the ground.’

    C. Homosexuality is never expressly forbidden in the Bible, it is the act of Sodomy which is forbidden.

    D. What about in the bible where it says to Hate the sin, not the sinner? Or is that conveniently forgotten, since it stands against his argument?

All in all, I have to say that it’s a load of pure tee fucking BULLSHIT, and should just be ignored. We have more important things to look at, like the events going on in Uganda. Would anyone mind making a point of this in the future on the blog? Or would you like me to send you a blog to post?

  3. Religious bigots are the worst type of people there are and it pisses me off that somebody puts a microphone in front of their face so that they can think they are the spokeperson for all people. You’re a DJ douchbag, play a fucking song!

  4. god damn hicks, i dont believe in god or jesus or anything like that but thats just me, but to actually be allowed to say things like that on a radio station is absoloutly appauling, freedom of speach be dammed, oh and hint hate to say this but it does say in the bible that if a man lays with a another man as he would with a woman then it is an abomination to god, but i agree with everything else u said.

just another example of a hillbilly redneck biggoted narrow minded TWAT!!

  5. hey at least our sin is equal now! we wanted equality right? i’ll take it as a victory.

  6. Hes the first one in line at the gloryhole too! Anyone that homophobic has tenencies and issues!

  7. Apparently you can’t Zac lol

I’m not terribly offended by this. He’s giving his opinion, and at least it’s a little more thought out than many religious zealots.

Obviously he doesn’t explain how the Bible ultimately calls homosexuality a sin, which puts a damper on his argument. However, ignoring that oversight, he doesn’t seem to have an a specific hatred of gay people as a couple of comments suggest. He equates it with other sexual sins, and doesn’t believe that such sins should be celebrated. I think he needs to realize that you can’t use inherently Christian beliefs as a basis for what is accepted in the US, but he’s certainly allowed to not agree with Obama’s decision.

  8. Joe, you only wish he were the first one in line at YOUR gloryhole! Just because someone speaks against something doesn’t make them that. That’s a stupid argument!

  9. I agree with you Stephen. Christians miss that whole seperation of Church and State that our country was actually founded on. The problem with guys like these who have a public platform is that they inspire hatred through their beliefs to those of even lower intelligence. Clearly this man worships a God because he fears that God and isn’t willing to claim his own power to not do all of the things that HE IS NOT doing. I’m pretty sure no one is physically stopping him yet he wants to put that power on this God that he lives in fear of upsetting and getting punished for sinning.

You know, I just can’t wait until someone in a position of power says “My fellow Americans we are not alone in the Universe. We have made contact with aliens.” The second that happens, BOOM the whole Christian religion falls apart (most all of them will actually). Everything that their entire belief system is based upon will instantly be proven false. Truth will finally prevail.

We are the ones we’ve been waiting for! We are all Divine and never let these people convince you of anything else. They are free to hate but we can choose to love.

Which act do you think pleases their God more?

  10. Michael with an !… REALLY!??! Aliens?!? I think that takes more faith than believing in God!
Look, just because he has an opinion does not mean it’s hate. You have an opinion against Christians, so you must hate if that is the case.
The “Seperation of Church and State” is not even in the constitution. What IS in there is this: “The Government shall NOT tell anyone how they should worship.” That’s it! You can NOT find “The Seperation of Church and State” clause in there! You are only quoting what you’ve heard others say.
For the other person that said they shouldn’t be allowed to talk like this and didn’t care about free speech, you are ignorant! They take that away, then they’ll start taking more rights away from us. Stupid arguments!

  11. Hintetsomaru,

    Just to feed the troll:

    A. Who’s to say that Christianity is right? This country was built on Tolerence, religious and otherwise.

This country was built by Protestants who had issues with England. Most of the people in this country identify themselves as Christians. So, by democracy’s standards, American gets to say Christianity is right.

    B. Every time he has sex using a condom, he’s committing murder. In the bible it says that ‘it is better to spill your seed in the belly of a whore than to spill it on the ground.’

He acknowledges the whole “sex outside of wedlock” issue, and acnkowledges that fcukin when God says “no!” is a sin just the same as homosexuality. I’m actually surprised with that — first time I’ve heard a relatively comparative, level argument.

    C. Homosexuality is never expressly forbidden in the Bible, it is the act of Sodomy which is forbidden.

Sodomy is, in general, sex not resulting in procreation, yes? The dude said that sex outside of wedlock (and, by proxy, outside of baby-making) is as bad as any other out-of-wedlock sex. ‘Nuff said there.

    D. What about in the bible where it says to Hate the sin, not the sinner? Or is that conveniently forgotten, since it stands against his argument?

Can you point to that passage? I’d be quite interested. Also, he’s not hating on any of us. He’s talking out about the normalcy of homo sin and how we should work to resist it, the same way straight Christians work to resist boning sheep or cows. (I’m from Wisconsin, trust me, that’s not as bizzare as it sounds).

So, yo, this dude is probably the most rational Christian I’ve heard. What we do is a sin unto God, no two shakes about it. Doesn’t mean we’re all gonna stop, and doesn’t mean some of us aren’t going to find a way to justify unprocreative sex, but it’s still what it is. And kudos for running this video.

  12. Well, I haven’t checked the youtube vid, but they have every rights to hate gay pride. I find gay pride pretty disgusting. Hell, from their perspective, they see bunch of guys parading on the street wearing bikini.
I think gay pride parade had some significance back then, but I don’t think there’s much significance anymore.
As Lisa Simpsons shouted to the gay pride marchers in one episode, “we know you’re here, we got used to you!”

  13. As much as I despise the 2 individual ( mention above ) freedom of speech is a right guaranteed 2 every American by the constitution a right that is most sacred and should never be trampled upon . Although I am defending FREEDOM OF SPEECH let there be no doubt that my support ( for FREEDOM OF SPEECH ) is in no way support 4 the IGORANCE OF HATRED !!!

  14. BlackJackHammer, I didn’t hear hatred spouted by these two. All I heard was that they disagreed with it. That’s their right too! I may think the shirt you put on today was ugly and said so. Didn’t require hatred. Was just an opinion. Just what these guys are sharing.

  15. Nick, thank you for making my point for me. It’s ok for us to hate them, but they better not hate us! And we are supposed to be the open minded ones….. Sheesh!

  16. I live in Alabama. While I am appalled and disgusted by the words of these closed minded hicks, I’m sad to say the world view put forth by these fat morons is one that’s shared with basically every single Alabama resident that I’ve ever known. The people down here REALLY REALLY REALLY SERIOUSLY believe in their Bible And Jesus and their conservative standpoint to a degree that is truly horrifying in the eyes of any right minded individual.
