Reptar: “Houseboat Babies”

You know how we were talking about sleeper hits the other day? Well, say hello to Reptar‘s “Houseboat Babies”. The Athens, Georgia-based band released the song back in July 2010 (maybe even earlier), and now it acts as the second single from their debut album Body Faucet.

As far as indie-pop goes, this 2 year gap for “Houseboat Babies” can’t compete with the 6-7 year delay between MGMT‘s original version of “Kids” and the official single release in 2009… But good music is timeless or something like that! You should take a listen to this track if you enjoy bands like Passion Pit, OK Go and (insert sort of cool band who makes sort of cool electro-pop).

Um, can you feel it?

  1. I’ve never heard of them, but it’s cool they named their band after the “Rugrats” version of Godzilla. I love the Rugrats!
