Rascal Flatts Don’t Judge

Rascal Flatts

Country trio Rascal Flatts‘ news single “Love Who You Love” isn’t necessarily a pro-gay song, but some people have been interpreting it as such.

The chorus, “Love who you love with all that you have and don’t waste the time that flies so fast,” are intended to be “a reminder to show affection to the people closest to you,” but the band talked to CMT about how the tune has inspired gay fans and friends.

Guitarist Joe Don Rooney had this to say: “That’s what’s cool about our music. You can interpret (it like) that…If you are someone who’s gay or someone who’s straight, you still feel something from the song, and that’s what we want.”

And you know what I want? Joe Don Rooney… naked in my bed. His swoopy bangs make me swoon. The dark-haired one isn’t too shabby either. Maybe we can make a Rascal Flatts sandwich of gay acceptance?
