Quickie: Rodiney Santiago

Given Logo‘s recent “no homo” direction, it shouldn’t be surprising to hear that they’ve pulled the plug on The A-List: New York. The reality series was primarily known as the gay response to the Real Housewives franchise, but perhaps even more famously known as a show that made gay men look like shallow, cunty and thoroughly heinous human beings.

I can’t shed any light on whether that’s an accurate description of the show, since I never felt the need to punish myself and sit through a single episode. That said, there are a few reasons I could justify other people tuning in:

Mike Ruiz is a doll, and he should have never signed up for this mess in the first place.
• A few cast members, such as Austin Armacost, are very hate-fuckable.
Reichen‘s penis told them to watch!
• Looking at Rodiney Santiago is a very enjoyable, sometimes explosive experience.

We shall explore the latter point in today’s Quickie, as I contemplate rasterbating the image above, wheat-pasting it onto my bedroom ceiling and waving goodnight to Rodiney every night (with my penis).

  1. Yes the show was crazy and nothing but drama and plotting against each other and hard to tell what a friend actually meant to anyone on it.

Even the guy your featuring hot as he is was a user and a little too dramatic for his looks!

I take it you never saw A-List-Dallas as well? I swear it was a lot worse!

  2. So many things wrong with the entire franchise: 1. the title – really? they’re A-listers?; 2. And then they had to add that drama queen in Season Two; 3. the Dallas franchise has even worse characters.

  3. I’m glad that Logo got rid of that mess.    It was such a horrible representation (except Mike Ruiz) of the gay community.     To also see Rodiney and Reichen on VH1 going through couple’s therapy…just set the gay community back SO far.     Good riddance…now take the Kardashians with you.

  4. Thank the heavens above and the Universe around us for killing The A-list: New York! I hated that show and the douchebag “stars.” They are NOT representative of our community.

  5. I have to admit. i did watch the show, all 2 seasons. BUT only because i got to wash my eyes all over Rodiney’s delicious brazilian body. That dude is HOT as hell. Yes, in the show, he was a bit of a queen. But i’m hoping it was for the sack of the cameras. In any case he is too hot to hate. Plus he is the cutest.

  6. While I admit that the show (and its spin-off) was a mess, it seems that  Logo is turning into all Rupal all the time, along with Viacom series that have very little to do with gay culture (When I Was Fat, Teen Mom, etc.) This network has seriously lost its way!

  7. I never watched that show, but glad Logo came to there senses!! They were all Idiots if you ask me, and the fame whores Rodney &  Reichen made me wanna throw up ever time I saw them…I dont believe anything that comes out of there mouth or goes in.

  8. I hope they bring the A-List back on LOGO i got involved with the show and then they took it off. i would rather watch the a-list  now when you go to the logo all you can see is Rupal and so i don’t watch logo anymore let logo bring back the series A-List  in other cities
