Provincetown Carnival 2016: Were The 80s Always This Hot?

Last week was Provincetown’s yearly Carnival. That’s when a ton of homosexuals flock to the very end of the U.S., pick a theme, and party like the ancient Romans. This year’s theme was “Back to 80s.” As queers are wont to do during summer parties, they took it to mean “wear as little as possible as long as you stay on theme!” Here’s a selection of pics showing off the hottest costumes and the men that were in them.

The winning photo is obviously this one. They’re portraying Goldie Hawn in Overboard, thongs and all. Nice work, boys.

You probably want to see the fronts, too. How you can pry your eyes off of those amazing asses is beyond me.

Here’s the rest. See if you can identify who they’re supposed to be. If you don’t get the blue guys, I weep for the future.

  1. To answer your question Michael, yes the 80s WERE this hot, and P town looks like a lot of fun

  2. Lol, so diversity?? Where are the non-whites guys in all these pictures. See, birds with the white feathers flock together. There was only one “token” black guy in the all these pictures. Yep, go pale gay pride!

  3. Yeah83m,

I hear you. I had to make do with what I had for photos. I always try to include everybody but resources sometimes derail those intentions.

  4. Hahah, omg. I am that token black guy. But for the most part, it’s not the article that has a lack of diversity so much as that is exactly how Ptown is in general. In a sea of gay white males, there’s only the occasional friend of color. It’s easy to see in the pictures, which merely reflect the actual reality.
