With only 10 days until election day, Proposition 8‘s fate is still hard to predict. The polls remain close, with the newest Public Policy Institute of California poll showing 52% opposing the ban with 44% in favor. The opposition is still ahead, but those in favor have risen since the last poll was taken.
Apple, Inc. is coming out publicly against Proposition 8, and donating $100,000. You can read their announcement here.
GLAAD donates $50,000 on top of another $100,000 in August.
A former Folsom, California mayor comes out in an advertisement in local papers, also urges no on Prop. 8.
And the top educator in California, Jack O’Connell, works to dispel distortions that No on 8 would change the way public schools are taught.
