P!nk: “Try”

Fuck yes! This is the P!nk that I love (almost as much as I hate spelling her name with a stupid exclamation point). The official clip for “Try”—the second single from her new album The Truth About Love—made it onto the internet yesterday morning, and it’s some of the best two-person choreography I’ve seen in a music video since Shakira‘s all-too-excellent “Did It Again”.

Of course, beyond the dancing, I happen to genuinely enjoy the song!

P!nk has a way of singing with such conviction that I’m willing to overlook her occasionally trite lyrics, and while I know I should be smart enough to see through the glossy pop facade, this is one of those instances where her vocals break down my pseudo-hipster walls and penetrate my soul deeper than Rafael Alencar‘s dick.

Yeah, I just made a gay porn reference in a post about P!nk. What are you going to do about it? I’ll tell you what you’re going to do! You’re going to use your superior Google skills to find me sexy pictures of Colt Prattes, the dancer featured in this video.

And for extra credit? Link me to his Manhunt profile! I’m not assuming he has one ’cause I’m playing into the stereotype that all dancers are gay. That would be terrible, and you shouldn’t make such wilde assumptions about my assumptions!

Truth be told, I’m assuming he has one because I want to see a penis.

  1. Best video of the year so far! Amazing song. The whole album is great, but this song has such a good message and the video is stunning. This is an example of a “real” album. There is not one filler song on it.

  6. The guy is hot. Too bad his character is an abusive lover. And I’m betting this was choreographed by one of the So You Think You Can Dance choreographers.

  7. The choreography was inspired by Apache dance (google it) made popular by Parisian street gangs from the beginning of the 20th century.

  9. Here is Colt from this year’s Broadway Bares ads (what a Prince Charming). And yes, he’s straight.
