Pepsi Causes Controversy with New Ads

In order to promote their new PepsiMax brand which only has one calorie, Pepsi decided to release a string of ads which depicts a very lonely calorie committing suicide. The calorie is shown committing suicide by gunshot, hanging, self-immolation, and slitting his wrist.

We all know that one is a very lonely number, but did they have to take it this far? Do you guys think the ads are appropriate? Let me know.

  1. I’d say the gun and the razor blade are the two most alarming depictions of suicide. The others are mostly humorous for their absurdity, but the gun and razor… those are a little more close to home.
