Ozzy Osbourne Rocks

Yesterday, we posted about the battle over the free speech rights of the Rev. Fred Phelps and his Westboro Baptist Church. Today comes word that former shock rocker/now cuddly unintelligible TV dad Ozzy Osbourne doesn’t find them to be a stairway to heaven, either.

Ozzy was told that the church was blasting his famous song “Crazy Train” while protesting outside the Supreme Court on Wednesday during oral arguments and had this to say:

“I am sickened and disgusted by the use of ‘Crazy Train’ to promote messages of hate and evil by a ‘church,'” he said in a statement.

Did insane religious bigots really think OZZY OSBOURNE (biter of bat heads and former front man of Black Sabbath) was going to be jazz hands over them using his song for their evil purposes? Apparently Westboro Baptist overlooked using anything by Katy Perry? “Teenage Dream” is totally the devil’s music.

  1. Ozzy has always been one of my greatest musical influences and one of my biggest heroes. Now, my admiration and respect for this man has reached a level even greater than I thought possible.

  2. those westboro ppl are just fucking awful and when they co op other ppls music with their insanely shitty lyrics, well they should be shot. HOWEVER, they can harmonize pretty well. who knew having to blow papa phelps was better than vocal exercises?

  3. Michael, Ozzy’s real name is John Michael Osbourne. “Ozzy” was a nickname given to him in grade school by his friends who just shortened his last name.
