Mike Ruiz Pays Tribute To Tom Of Finland

Remember how Mike Ruiz is totally attractive and did an interview with us that one time? Well, the celebrity photographer and future star of Logo‘s The A List has decided to share more of his sexiness with the world. He stood before his own camera for this tribute to Tom of Finland.

For the record, I plan on slapping the first person who chimes in with a wise-ass comment like, “He’s hot and all, but the pornstache, tattoo and leather vest need to go!” Because you obviously have no idea what Tom of Finland’s about.

  1. Love the Tom of Finland artwork…so please post more of these…wonderful (though somewhat doctored?) photos…

  2. He’s hot and all, but the pornstache, tattoo and leather vest need to go!

*presents face for slapping* Hit me, Dewitt!

But srsly, ya gotta give us WAY more pics than just the two teaser pics!

  3. I have known Mike for nearly two decades and I can honestly say, these are the worst photos he has ever taken! It looks like he was beat with a cloning tool to get rid of his wrinkles. Even the concept isn’t fresh – he did it earlier in the year (and better) for Unzipped.

  4. I love Tom of Finland’s work, but I’ve never gotten the whole 70’s moustache thing. I’ve never found it a turn-on. And nowadays, that moustache just makes most men look like an aging 70s porn star. A goatee is a much safer and sexier option for facial hair than a moustache.

  5. @Saint Impatience, technically, Mikey would be Kake’s doppelganger (Kake being the character that is iconic Tom of Finland man). Tom of Finland never actually looked like the men he drew.

  6. ah, thanks for that, Laris.

    😀

i’ve seen only a few illustrations of Tom’s Finnish Works’, over the years, see.

(i try to avoid giving myself unnecessary + unresolvable boners, so i do tend to steer clear of the erotic drawings, no matter how well-crafted.

    {especially when they’re well-crafted, i might say.})

i never followed T.o.F. closely. . .but i do remember seeing something about “Kake,” in passing, actually.

so now i stand, in a corrected manner — old mikey is Kake‘s doppelganger.
    no technicalities added or needed!
