Melanie Amaro: “Don’t Fail Me Now”

Confession! Because I’m apparently the gayest human being who ever masturbated to banana-up-the-butt porn, my past few weeks have been dominated by Melanie Amaro‘s “Don’t Fail Me Now” and the Pulse remix of Mariah Carey‘s flop-back single “Triumphant (Get ‘Em)”.

Both of these songs appeal to my weakness for cheesy, vaguely inspirational dance music, and I can’t stop doing sexy dances to them in front of the mirror… Stop judging me! I can’t even see you, and I can tell you’re judging me!

Real men admit when they like bad club tracks. At least that’s what I’ll keep telling myself until I believe it’s true.

  1. Been wondering when last year’s “X Factor” winner was gonna finally come with a record. I thought she could have been the new Whitney Houston, but this song and record is a real disappointment. “Feet Don’t Fail me Now”??? C’mon! Is that the best they could come up with? Sounds like Jordin Sparks…another really lame “Idol” winner. Sorry.

  3. Don’t blame her! The song was written by Livvi Franc of “Now I’m That Bitch” fame. I’m sure she has more tricks up her sleeve than this Rihanna-lite track (that I admittedly like more than I should).

  6. I have a secret love for this song. Plus, I’m not judging you because I’m too busy judging myself for it haha. I can’t help it, cheesy pop dance songs are so bad they are good.

  7. I wish you had talked more about the Pulse remix of Triumphant. That has been my jam for the last 2 weeks too, despite hating the original version.
That could be a #1 single by now had Mariah gotten over with the rap obsession.
