Manscaping: Hot or Not?

manscaping

When you hear the word “shaved”, are you turned on or turned off? Now, I’m being vague in regards to what’s being shaved on purpose. To be more specific, how do you feel about manscaping? Whether you think it’s the scourge of the gay community or okay in moderation, we want to hear your opinion.

To make things even more fun, we’ve created a poll to ask which parts you think guys should shave, trim or tweeze. Check it out after the JUMP, and keep in mind that you can choose as many answers as you’d like. We know some of y’all are shy with the commenting, so this will be a great way to tell us how you feel without actually… er, saying anything.

  1. How is the word manscaping used here? Are you refering to shaving completely or just trimming a bit? Honestly, I think it depends greatly on the guy. I know I trim (or shave, but mostly trim) all of the above. I look better rather neat, but there are obviously guys out there who look better totally natural or shaved. (Well, maybe not shaved. I love hairy chests.)

  2. About the first pic in the upper body poll, I think his problem is in the shoulders not the arms. I’m all good with hairy arms but hair on shoulders should be shaved or waxed.

  3. I fully support manscaping and its a fun thing to do with your bf/partner. Have a manscaping party and shave and w trim your bf/partner. It always ends wup withs ex and its awesome! Manscaping is awesome!!!

  4. I agree with Diego. Arms don’t really matter, but shoulders should definitely not be hairy.
I really think most things depend on the guy, chest hair can be hot, but a shaved chest can be hot as well. Some guys look good with a little facial hair, some look better shaven.
The only places that should definitely not have any hair are the back, shoulders and balls. I also prefer a hairless ass but I can get over it as long as it isn’t too hairy.

  5. Locating other men who have not shaved away or clipped their body hair to death has been disappointing . Combined with the tweezed eyebrows and thong tanlines ..yikes!, I still scratch my head wondering what started this sorry departure from the very male traits that made us attracted to one another in the first place..but enough of my ranting!

  6. either is fine with me. what i don’t like is when a guy carves things into his body hair like a fake happy trail or just shaving his abs and leaving his chest hair. that’s just creepy.

  7. I believe nothing below the neck should ever be shaved (balls and asshole reluctantly acceptable). In some cases, careful trimming can be a good thing. Facial hair is also appreciated, as long as it’s neatly trimmed and not ridiculous-looking.
