  1. sigh… all the hot guys from Canada are in Montreal… as if I didn’t already know that… lol

  2. Um, yeah.  So who gets to decide who’s the “hottest” manhunt guys (of the week, day, month, minute, second, year, decade or whatever time-lapse)?  And what criteria is required of these “hottest” to make them the “hottest?”  Based upon what?  Yup, let’s just keep the exclusive stereotyping going.

  3. It’s a shame you didn’t have a better photo of the first guy, would love to see more of him! I would love to be sandwiched between the two Portuguese guys mmmmmm!!!!! As for the first guy from Spain his hair is so freaky I’d have to give him a hair cut!!!

  4.  Jerry, sweetheart – you’re always complaining about the dudes we feature. While it’s true that we go with what the majority of gay men find to be hot (classically handsome, fit guys) for this particular feature, it’s not the case for our entire blog.  I know Dewitt makes a sincere effort to feature different types of men, particularly in our Woof Alert feature. You might be appeased by that one. This Manhunt Now: Hottest Men of The Week feature is directly tied to our Manhunt Now newsletter in which we feature what the majority consider to be out hottest members every week.

I will be truthful (probably to my own detriment). This is Manhunt. At the end of the day, we are a business. Dewitt and I have people we answer to as to our content. If we were to feature heavier guys, older guys, etc., all the time we would lose readership. Gay men are a very visual people. We see with our eyes, and think with our cocks. We want men to keep reading us, and to keep using our site. It’s all about getting everybody laid.

Check out Woof Alert, and we’ll keep doing what we can to make sure to get your more “realistic” (whatever that is) guys in there as much as we can.

  5. So, you think you’ll lose money if you show normal guys?  What does that have to say about you promoting what is nothing but blatant prejudice and bigotry?  That rationalizes it?  Well, obviously, it does.  What’s wrong with heavier or older guys?  And who are you to say that gays, being visual, are only interested in the exclusive, narrow-minded shallowness you promote?  Honestly, if you want to keep your business going, you think that’ll do it?  You don’t want to promote, in a much more statistically correct method, what most guys actually are?  Have you even tried (other than throwing the occasional bone [pardon the pun] of showing some normal weight, normal age, normal hirsuted guy)?

You want to promote your business and make money?  Well, take a lesson.  Carnival Cruise Line started with a few old, retired, run-down ships and was laughed at.  It aimed itself at normal people and was laughed at.  All the “big boys” said it would sink.  It struggled for years, but marketed itself at normal people, rather than the flashy, wealth-holding, “beautiful” people aped by models in ads by the other lines that existed (some of which) for over a hundred years.  In its ads, Carnival didn’t use models (like you do, including using manhunt “models” for all your shots at manunt “parties”) – it used regular, normal passengers who were all just regular, normal folk who didn’t look “hot” in anything and everything from swim suits to evening wear.  People who were contemplating cruises looked at what was being promoted in marketing and advertisements, looking for a place for themselves.  They didn’t see it in things like the classic lines of Cunard and Holland-America which showed only “hot” people.  They began to book in droves.  So where is Carnival today?  It’s the largest passenger ship industry in the world.  As a matter of fact, it gobbled up Cunard and Holland-America and most other competitors who kept trying to market the idea of catering only to the “hot.”  So, you want to be a thriving business?  Instead of saying to gay men, most of whom are just those heavier and older guys you so disparage as not being able to make money for you, you’re not “hot,” how about catering to them as being hot?

Lookism and ageism is rampant within the gay “community.”  It is so pervasive, that even those heavier and older guys have been conditioned to want only the plastic creatures you promote and try desperately to get them and never succeed and end up alone (one of the reasons why depression and suicide is so high within our “community”).  You, J.Harvey, are one of those guilty ones that sets a standard so high no one can ever achieve it.  Have you ever been turned away from a gay club because you don’t measure up to those standards?  There are lots of us who have been.  You think that’s something that needs to be catered to because you want to follow a false business model to make more money?

I will keep ragging on you and your posts and Dewitt’s, until you stop being enablers to a crippling gay social stigma.  Fatter and older isn’t bad.  It’s what most of us are, at least on manhunt.  We’re suppose to be about acceptance and inclusiveness and being welcomed and feeling wanted.  If we can’t do that amonst ourselves, then we don’t deserve equality.  Until we start treating each other equally, we should not expect it from anyone else.  We get what we deserve.

I won’t stop ragging on you (and Dewitt, if I have to) or anything else posted on this site because this needs to stop.  If you don’t like it, then ban me and silence a very much needed – and constantly avoided – discussion about the fact that gays are no better than those who hate them.  I’ll do what I can to try and get at least one site to change its outlook and do what IT can to have gays become real welcoming, inclusive, accepting human beings.

  6. OMG Jerry.  Get a life.  Go out, get a drink.  Dammit – it’s Friday!

Why are you so critical over something so basic.  It is generally accepted that beauty is subjective.  No shit.  But c’mon.  What makes this site popular, what makes pornography popular, what makes the modeling industry popular is we enjoy looking at good-looking people.  If I wanted to see “normal” people, I’d go outside.  I think a realistic person understands going to the gym and having a square chin will only get you so far, so chill the fuck out.  Damn.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go the gym before I go out and get drunk and end up dancing on top of the bar at Woody’s.  A bar is where people are social and interact with one another, usually based on their respective personal presentations.

TTFN – Time to go the gym before I go to the bar.  (It’s so hard being pretty.)  lol

  7. For some reason i really do not believe that most of us come here to have in depth discussions about the politics and problems within the gay community. I wanna see hot guys. I fantasize about hot guys, thats what porn is for. I know i would never end up with someone like that. I dont come here looking for a husband if i was looking for a husband i would go to the actual manhunt site, this is a fun to read blog about PORN!

  8. You do that, Gymrat.  Just forget about the men who are normal and lonely, who are seeking some acceptance an affection (even a little nooky), who are discarded and treated like garbage by the gay “community.”  Make yourself “pretty” – that’s all that matters about being gay, isn’t it?

  9. It’s long been past time to have in-depth discussions about problems within the gay “community.”  As for the “actual manhunt site,” it’s no better.  So let’s keep sweeping our problems under the rug and hope that, without confronting them, non-gays will accept as as normal.  I will never forget when I’ve brought the issue of gay lookism and ageisem, so rampant within out “community,” to one of the major gay “rights” organizations, I got a message back telling me that it would be counter-productive for equality to expose and face the dirty laundry within our own “community.”  Well, there you go.  Don’t talk about it; don’t bring it up. don’t confront it; keep up the whole hating of gays by gays based upon bigotry.  We shouldn’t face out own internal homophobia, because if we do, we’ll never conquer homophobia.  Oh, that makes sense.

  10.  In Jerry’s defense, I’ll add that all the pretty boys are eventually going to get old and gray. So, enjoy your youth while you have it.
