Where I live, there is a local TV weatherman who, after he’s done with his 10:00 p.m. Friday/Saturday report, goes home, changes into A&F clothing pasted onto his “lean, ripped” body and heads to the local club. When he’s on TV, the makeup covers up a “multitude of sins,” but after he showers and wipes it off, reality is obvious. At the club he struts around in his tight-fitting attire like Filipo from Jerseylicious, trying to find someone under 25 to go home with (he makes it clear he only wants “hot guys” under 25 – if some prospect was out that night celebrating his 26th birthday, he’s “out of luck”).
The thing is, our local TV celebrity, in his hot-guy-get-up is 60. He colors his hair, but with the makeup off the wrinkles are there for all the world to see (and not all of them from age; many if not most came from decades of tanning to get that “hot look”). And despite his attempt to be something he’s not and will only storm forecast with under-25’s and thinks because he starves and exercises himself into a slim waist, big pecs and flat abs he’s a young boy’s catch, the really sad thing is that he’s the club’s laughing-stock. The reoccuring joke there is that you can’t go home until you see ——-.
