Next month will be the premiere of Little Ashes, a film called ‘racy’
and ‘sexy’ about the intimate friendship between famed painter Salvador Dali
(Robert Pattinson) and poet Federico Garcia Lorca (Javier Beltran).
Biographers have long debated the extent of their relationship. Letters between the two suggest they were not
only intellectually but also sexually stimulated by one another. Dali had said that they tried to consummate
their feelings but it was “too painful.” What? They didn’t have any Wet
Platinum back in the 1920’s?
