Lady Gaga’s A Total Hog

Here’s the reported album cover for Lady Gaga‘s upcoming epic Born This Way. The walking art installation we’ve all come to know and…endure… released this via Twitter late Friday night. And wow, you’re a motorcycle, Stefani! The second single from the album, “Judas,” has also dropped and public reaction is once again split. Some think it’s got some sickening beats and it’s different from anything else you hear on the radio. And others find “Judas” to be derivative and SEVERELY annoying with it’s hyena “JUDAH, AH AH!” chorus.

If this striking/ridic album cover is any indication, Gaga will keep doing things her own way. Even if it includes looking like a Transformer by way of  Patricia Field’s.

  1. When I first saw the cover, I hated it too, because it really is laughable… but then I knew she knew it would illicit that kind of response, which made me love it. It’s really in sync with her mission to appear inhuman/more of a machine. It’s also more of her rocker personality shining through, like the preFame Gaga.

  2. I think there’s no need to say anything negative about this album cover as it speaks for itself.

I don’t know where she is going with this album, unless she plans some sort of parody or album of remakes, cos her first 2 singles sure are remakes, can’t imagine what the rest sounds like.

  3. Maybe it’s a play on Springsteen…”strap your legs around my engine…baby, we were Born This Way” or something like that? Personally, I don’t think the woman has an original bone in her body. The first single was a rip-off of “Express Yourself,” and the new one is copped from “Like A Prayer.”

  4. @nex – quel surprise! Translation – What a surprise.

I new you would be the 1st to comment and be negative. You hate everything that is Gaga. I think you really need to move on already.

I don’t like this album cover either. The spec edition one looks much better.

I know she is going for a more guitar riff sound on this album. It is gonna have some more rock songs on it. Perhaps that is what the cover is all about.

Anyway, I dislike the cover alot, but love the songs so far.

  5. @Chris, i dont hate everything gaga, I’m tired of saying that. Please go back to my previous posts.

Her last efforts however are pathetic and deserve all the harsh criticism that she is getting. You can’t rip-off other people’s music and expect it to go unnoticed.

The deluxe edition is definitely much better. Looks like a proper album cover. This however is a total joke and invites people to make fun of it. Cant think of a worse album cover in music history by any major artist. OMG and the font…..

And by the way, me being negative about this album cover is “I think there’s no need to say anything negative about this album cover as it speaks for itself.”? Doesn’t sound that negative to me.

  6. I love Paula Deen! Have any of you seen her guest on Craig Ferguson? She goes toe to toe with him on the double entendres!

  7. I hope she’s really kidding with this cover. Come on, hideous cover ever. The music…meh. “Born This Way” didn’t brought anything original to the charts. “Judas” sounds a little better, but does it adds something unique and original? I’ll leave that as an open question. I’m still waiting to be surprised like when the first time I watched the “Bad Romance” video..

  8. i think what would have been a nice cover if she laid on that motorcycle, on her side or on her back, you know like they do when they advertise cars with semi-naked women.

  9. That font is hideous. Bitch needs to get herself a graphic designer, stat!

Best quotable: “On the deluxe edition, she’s going to be a truck.”

  10. @X hahaha, that made me lol hard.
i seen some ‘parody’ of this online.
basically it’s some sort of race.
gaga as a motorbike in front.
beyonce straight after her with her head attached to a normal bike.
then katy perry on a ballon.
followed by britney on that 1 leg push thingy that children use.
then xtina on hell knows what.
and the last one madonna on a wheelchair.

the madonna one made me lol. obviously reference to her age :))
i’ll try to find it and post it here.

  11. Not trying to compare artists. But this reminded me a lot of Christina Aguilera’s Bionic Album Cover. You know, the half machine thing going on here

  12. GaGa has let the Fame get to her head. Judas is 90s dance trash, even the instrumentation sounds like SuperNintendo Super Mario World = Cheap.

I am so disappointed and think she should at least share the weed she smoked that made her think this shit was good enough to release.

  13. Gaga is everything that is wrong with modern pop: pretending to be way more relevant than she is, suffering from delusions of grandeur, speaking about herself like she’s a religion, as though she’s changing the world… when really she’s just raking in the cash. Ingenuine, tacky, fame hungry bore – wish she’d fuck off already.

  14. @christian, oh no, you didn’t just say all those things. crazed gaga fans are gonna accuse you of being me. or rather me of being you… or w/e…

  15. @Sebastian – you are 100% right. She has people talking that’s for sure. Everytime someone youtubes her or searches her makes her even more popular.

@Christian: The same things were said about Madonna when she released Like A Virgin (her 2nd album). The same things again resurfaced when she released the single of Papa Don’t Preach (her 3rd album). The negativity resurfaced again with Like A Prayer, and then the shit hit the fan when she released Justify My Love and the Erotica album. People killed her in the media and accused her of being everything you just described. This was all in the early to earlier stages of her career. It seems like your comments toward Gaga are similar to the mudslings Madonna had to endure. I hate making comparisons to Madonna, but your words Sebastian are exactly the same words used to describe Madonna when she started out. Funny thing is, is that most fans consider her Erotica album to be the best, yet it got trashed the most and was her 1st album (other than her debut album) not to be #1.

    Just saying!

  16. I dont remember Madonna being a bike or a truck…

She didn’t need to wear clown outfits to promote herself either.

All that alien stuff & new religion, new race that gaga is into is delusional.

Watching her recent videos makes you question her sanity. Her latest gagavision:

  17. @Nex – you forget Madonna was into some pretty crazy shit.

Not many people heard about the Kaballah, and she was promoting that like shit (Ray of Light album). People thought she was crazy for doing this and just hitching on to a bandwagon.

Madonna pushed the sex button on at least 3 album covers. Lady Gaga tries to push a different button, cuz lets face it she ain’t hot and not many people wanna sleep with her.

Alot of things Madonna did at the time seemed weird, alien, abstract, and offensive. Looking back on them now, they don’t seem as offensive as they did at the time. I think the same will be said about Gaga.

Yes the album cover is horrible. I am a big fan and I think it is ridiculous. But in the day and age of itunes and digital downloads, an album cover does not make an album good or bad.

  18. She did Kaballah when she was an established artist with about a decade and a half of success, she was called the queen of pop back then already. You can’t compare.

Kaballah is an established religion, gaga creates her own ‘religion’ with her being the god as the mother monster. different things.

yes, madonna was always about sex, but mostly about sexy. she pushed the button a bit too hard with erotica and it backfired. running around in underwear and flip flops in your music video is not sexy.

madonna did stir up religious controversies in the late 80’s, but that was revolutionary and shocking, what gaga does now is copy-cat and mocking… not shocking at all, even the catholics dont get offended and say she’s just desperate to pump up her sales.

you really cant compare gaga to madonna. at the same time gaga tries to distance herself from every other pop star in the world by selling herself as unique, but somehow ends up right at madonna’s feet with stuff like btw/express yourself controversies and judas/like a prayer wannabe etc.

  19. anyway, i’ll try to stay away from lady gaga arguments. i see she’s got very fanatical fans who would defend her no matter what arguments and evidence you provide.

  20. Ha, don’t declare your love too early! My co-blogger J. Harvey wrote this post, though I share a love for Paula Deen Riding Things (and all recipes involving hefty amounts of butter).

  21. U go girl…do ur thing…n if the folks like it, fine…if not, also fine…isnt that what its all about people?…as for me, baby I was Born This Way!!!

  22. You don’t remember Madonna being a bike but if she were then you’d be sayins Lady Gaga is copying her. Oi, atleast we know you keep up to date with Gaga Nex.
