It’s also the sound of Ricky Martin performing LMFAO‘s “Sexy And I Know It”, a song that needs to die unless Samuel O’Toole is shaking his ass to it in front of me. <– This actually happened. Ugh, it was glorious. I almost died, and I had to fight my desire to take a sketchy picture.

This was not sexy at all! If you are going to do ‘Sexy and I know it’ at least look at LMFAO’s video and get that the ‘sexy’ in all in the groin area, it’s their dicks that are swinging! Looser lower jeans with some flashes of torso would have helped. Not feeling this dated black jean & T-shirt with the boots for this song. He’s ‘Forty and showin’ it’ is how this came across.

Secondly, this song is meant to be fun, somewhat of a parody of itself and the singer.

although i admire the talent & enthusiasm it took to ‘re-invent’ the musical genre for episodic TV, i just think Glee is wildly unwatchable…i’m amazed at how critics never picked up on how derivative the whole Glee concept was from the far superior indie ‘kids-in-artist-camp’ musical/drama “Camp”….if you watch that film, you’d see how Ryan Murphy ripped off a truly innovative approach to the teen-angst/coming-out/coming-of-age genre of musical storytelling…although i think Ricky Martin is a talented and attractive performer, this vid proves how much Glee has ‘jumped the shark’ to become a surreal SNL style parody of itself…won’t somebody shoot this one-trick-pony of a lame ‘drama’ and put it out of it’s ( and OUR) misery?–lol–
