It’s always funny when people lose sight of what our iPhone Wars series is really about. We’ll present you with something like The Battle of The Abs, and some smart-ass will leave a comment along the lines of, “It’s about who has the nicest abs, you guys! Not who’s the hottest guy.” Nice sentiment, except this person is totally wrong.
The themes for these “battles” are solely intended to provide a unifying factor between all four contestants. Truth be told? This is a perfectly shallow competition, and it’s all about who you think is the most attractive within this bunch. In today’s case, we really don’t expect you to vote on who utilized the wavy mirror to the best effect.
Recently, we noticed a trend of people listing all of the contestants, along with their pros and (mostly) cons. This just seems unnecessarily mean. One of you called us hypocritical for asking you to “be nice” on these posts, considering we’ve been known to lobby against certain songs on our Weekly Top Ten. However, we’d argue that there’s a difference between taking down a real amateur guy and dissing an original track from Glee… Be mature when dealing with the feelings of folks who may actually read this blog. That’s all we ask of you.
