I.K.P.: “Sam Cooke’s Chain Gang”

As much as I adore out hip-hop that’s about dicks all over the place, I’ve always longed for a gay rapper who can simultaneously make me dance and think. Unfortunately, these aren’t the people getting attention on Towleroad, Queerty or other similar blogs. They’re too busy talking about straight hip-hop allies, homophobic rappers, sexy music videos or the latest antics of “bisexual rapper” (ugh) Azealia Banks.

While we realize you probably don’t come to Manhunt Daily to find out who’s the next great LGBT lyricist, we’d still recommend checking out what New York-based artist I.K.P. has to offer. His new project I.K.P. 4 President Part 1: E Pluribus Unum is available for free here. I’ve included my favorite track above, but I’d also recommend giving “Stay Above: All The Other Bulls#!t“, “Concentrate: Breathe In” and “Philosophy (The Out Hip-Hop Reprise)“.

PS: You might notice that today’s music offerings had a common theme.
