Hugh Jackman Will Not Deny Being Gay

Hugh Jackman
As if you needed another reason to love Hugh Jackman, he's provided an incredible answer to PARADE when they confronted him about all the gay rumors.

"I'd be happy to go and deny it, because I'm not," Jackman told the magazine. "But by denying it, I'm saying there is something shameful about it, and there isn’t anything shameful. The questions about sexuality I find more here in America than anywhere else, because it’s a big hang-up and defines what people think about themselves and others. It’s not a big issue in Australia.”

Hey Hugh! If sexuality isn't as much of a big deal in Australia, does that mean you'd join me in the outback to demonstrate some of Wolverine's "animal instincts"? I mean, there wouldn't be anything shameful about it at all

  1. It’s a great comment by Jackman. DeWitt please stop blogging. It’s that last little bit of commentary from people like you that creates that really bad gay stereotype you see in episodes of Family Guy.

  2. Wow, I don’t even have to complain about Dewitt anymore, it’s all done for me.
I hope your boss reads this dude.
Although, knowing the bosses at Manhunt, they might want to rile us up witha blogger we hate just so we comment more.

  3. …But he did deny being gay. All the fluff after the first sentence is cute and all, but he denied being gay from the outset. I’m beginning to suspect that there’s a homosexual agenda at work here, bent upon serving up pictures of Mr. Jackman.
Next you’ll want to marry him.

  4. I sense there’s a history with this Dewitt guy that is of zero interest to me, but blaming other queers for our oppression is so ridiculously short sighted it’s laughable. True, it’s not a particularly well thought out article; leave it at that. All the queers I know who are ritually accused of being the ones creating “that really bad gay stereotype” are also the ones working for GMHC or Equality California; they are not to blame for fucking Family Guy. Besides… Family Guy is hysterical.

  5. Ricardo: to suggest that queers do not contribute to any degree of our oppression is also shortsighted…and frankly, downright ignorant. It’s like saying bigotry or racism does not exist within our very own community. And having friends that work at GMHC or Equality California doesn’t excuse them for living that bad stereotype either. Get real.

  6. Oh, I missed that part of INcredulous’s post… I don’t watch Family Guy.
I don’t think I have a particular agenda here, but it’s possible I do… what’s the stereotype and what in particular is bad about it?
