I was around when the AIDS epidemic hit in the mid 80’s. All the publicity and awareness, the T.V. information advertisements, making everyone aware of the threat and fatal dangers of this disease put the absolute fear of God into me!
I know that it is no longer a fatal disease, a ‘death sentence’ as some of you refer to it as, and so it seems that safe sex doesn’t have to be a major consideration nowadays.
But whose responsibility is it to find out all the information about sexually transmitted diseases? Should STD’s/STI’s only be researched by individuals once they have been exposed to them, and caught one themselves?
I believe that there should be a whole new campaign, a whole new awareness programme about STD’/STI’s. Make everyone aware of what they could expose themselves to if they have unprotected sex, the diseases/infections out there doing the rounds, the symptoms, the causes, the remedies/cures, how to prevent transmissions in the first place.
If people are aware of STD’s/STI’s, and then still insist on having un protected sex, then they only have themselves to blame if they do catch something.
Also I believe that if an 80 year old wants to have sex with a 21 year old then let them get on with it. If an 18 year old wants to have sex with a 75 year old, let them get on with it.

If I were to go off meds (it’s referred to as a “holiday”, which i have done 3 times in my past) for 6 months, there is a 95% chance that I would still test undetectable and have minute changes in my blood counts. This is my experience and I share it with no inteent of suggesting this is how it would be for everyone

3) I never stated in my post that I have bareback sex AT ALL. I stated that I take responsibility for my conduct and have open communication with any of my sexual partners. This means I fully disclose EVERY TIME.
